This Privacy Policy describes how OutPrep ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit outprep.app or sign up for our waitlist.

What we collect

• Email address — provided by you when you sign up for the waitlist.
• Browser and device information — user agent string and referrer URL at the moment of signup.
• IP-derived information — we hash your IP address to enforce rate limits. We do not store raw IP addresses.
• Product analytics — anonymous interaction events (page views, form focus, signup success/error) via PostHog.

Why we collect it

• To notify you when the OutPrep iOS app launches and provide early access.
• To send you a welcome email confirming your signup.
• To understand how visitors engage with the landing page so we can improve it.
• To prevent abuse (rate limiting, spam).

How it's stored

Data is stored in Google Cloud Firestore (Firebase), encrypted at rest and in transit. Access is restricted to OutPrep administrators.

Third parties

• Resend — used to deliver transactional email (welcome emails, launch notifications). See Resend's privacy policy.
• PostHog — used for product analytics. See PostHog's privacy policy.
• Firebase / Google Cloud — hosting, database, and serverless functions. See Firebase's privacy policy.

We do not sell or rent your personal data to any third party.

Your rights

You can request deletion or export of your data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We'll respond within 30 days.

Unsubscribe (CAN-SPAM)

Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. Clicking it removes you from all future emails immediately.

California residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to request disclosure of the personal information we hold about you and to request its deletion. Contact [email protected].

EU/EEA residents (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. The legal basis for processing your email is your explicit consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing or emailing us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our product evolves. Material changes will be announced via email to active subscribers.
